Stephen Alexander was founded by lifelong friends Stephen Timmins and Alex Footman to help businesses grow, win new work and achieve their ambitions.
OUR JOURNEY
A partnership years in the making
Stephen and Alex grew up just two doors apart in Worcestershire. From kicking a football in the street to building successful careers in marketing, business development and bids, their journey has always been built on trust, shared values and a common ambition.
After studying at separate universities in Birmingham, they each went on to hold senior roles within leading organisations across the UK. Together, their experience spans global banks, AIM-listed businesses, top 50 law firms and some of the country’s largest contractors.
Over the years, they have led bid teams, built business development functions from the ground up and delivered strategic marketing campaigns that have helped organisations secure contracts worth hundreds of millions of pounds.
The opportunity
Doing things differently
Despite their success, Stephen and Alex kept seeing the same challenge.
Many businesses had the ambition to grow but lacked the time, resource or in-house expertise needed to bring together the key elements of winning new work.
Strategy, marketing, bids and business development were often treated as separate disciplines rather than part of a joined-up growth plan.
They believed there was a better way.
In 2021, they joined forces to create a business that provides practical, joined-up support in all the areas that matter when it comes to securing new work. And so, Stephen Alexander was born.
